The Glory of 90’s Adult Magazine Advertisements
A few years ago, we marveled at the beauty of 90’s porn tape design and now I want to take a look at something a little more specific—the advertisements in adult magazines from that same time.
There is something about design trends in the 90s that truly speaks to me. There is a hazy nostalgia that I have for this stuff.
I was at most 10 years old in the 90s, so my memories of this decade are from the perspective of someone who could see everything, but not fully understand what he was looking at or attach any societal expectations or prejudices.
I have this attachment to everything from this decade from furniture and cars to porn tapes and adult magazines. I’ve even used some of these ads in collages I’ve made over the years.
